He better have gotten some serious tail. Open mind and all, I'm not sure I would want to spend my lone semester abroad about 100 miles from where I spent the rest of my college experience. Even if it's in the midst of 2300 females. I mean, that's a target rich environment, but there are some drawbacks too...
